I love the way this aerial image captures the waves rolling into the shore.

Manhattan Beach Pier Anniversary with Christmas Lights
This image of the Manhattan Beach Pier was taken just before a winter sunrise. Lights from the 100th Anniversary of Manhattan Beach are visitble.
Red Sunset After Storm, Hermosa Beach
This one of my early favorite landscape images. It taught me to always have my camera with me. Caught this image out of the corner of my eye driving after a storm. I jumped out of my car and ran to photograph the amazing clouds and light.
Light House, Los Angeles Harbor
Light house, Los Angeles Harbor
This is a 60x20 panorama of the Palos Verdes Cove, famous to surfers all over Southern California. This is an unusually calm shot where you can see the green in the ocean. In the winter this can be one of the only spots in the South Bay to surf when the waves get double overhead. The natural boundaries of the cove cut the wave sides off and make for a beautiful ride of well over 100 yards.
Moon and Cranes, Port of Los Angeles, San Pedro, California
San Pedro is the southernmost point in the City of Los Angeles, and home to the Port of Los Angeles. The ports of LA and Long Beach bring in 40% of all containerized cargo in the United States.
Hikers on the jetty, and boaters return to the Redondo Beach Harbor with the beautiful fall sunsets that are amazing in Los Angeles. I love the fall and winter light, it has a different and special quality than the summer sunsets. Tamron 35 mm f/1.8, Canon 7D Mk II. (c) 2016, Kevin Gilligan, All Rights Reserved.
