Here you can see the progression of my lighting technique from 2010-2016. Keep improving and keep striving to improve your technique. Many photographers won't show their earlier work, but I'm not ashamed. Photography takes practice and effort.
Hapa Portraits - Los Angeles photographer Kevin Gilligan began the Hapa series of portraits for his solo show "Deliberations" in 2017. The Hapas were captured as part of a photographic discussion of the Manzanar Japanese Internment Camp during World War II. 70 years after WWII, Manager has lessons for our nation to consider as we grapple with immigration and integration. The Hapa series generated significant interest in the South Bay region of Los Angeles where there are many individuals with a heritage with parents who are both caucasian and Asian. Kevin is continuing the Hapa series as a tribute to our evolving racial and cultural make-up. If you are interested in participating in the Hapa series, contact Kevin: firstname.lastname@example.org.Read More
